How many marks on the top of the other bolts?

The time I went to the local Fastenal, to look for a bolt for a guy at work, they said they only sold "in quantity", not singles. They might have a good selection, but only "in unit pack quantities", it seems.

That is correct. They only sell fasteners in the manufacturer's packaging. It just doesn't pay to open up a box to pull out one fastener. Especially when one full box is inventoried as one unit or one piece. One box with 98 fasteners becomes worthless.

Loosing a few incomplete boxes from the inventory can quickly become costly! Quickly! Same thing as being stolen, unfortunately.
