Just thought I'd share a piece of paraphernalia I found going through some old stuff of my father's. In 1971 he was trying to get his department (Lumberton, NJ)to purchase a better patrol car for their uses.
You can't find a photo itself online of NJSP's 1971 Fury III. Only models that show up however are '69, '70, '72, and '73.
I have found a news video on YouTube however of Rahway prison riot in 1971, and in the video if you have a sharp eye there is a Marked '71 NJSP unit parked next to a '70 marked unit (same body lines, no vent window, and distinct '71 rear bumper visible). It may even well be my car for all I know. NJSP didn't order many '71 models.
Check out the price back then. And they even had the HP 440 (370hp).
Enjoy.
