Car Cover Recommendations

I saw it live on tv when they opened it and wasn't suprised. What a mess. I couldn't believe that so many people really thought it could of been a time capsule gem. I read a lengthy article about it in Mopar Muscle magazine I believe.

Here's a bit of trivia:
Miss Belvedere killed Boyd Coddington.
That car was a total Haz-Mat site, bacteria-wise.
Many people who came into contact with it right after it's opening got sick.
Boyd got very sick and died shortly thereafter. He did have a heart condition and the bacteria was too much for him.

That was quite sudden and a damn shame. I loved his work and American Hot Rod Show.

Christine claims yet another victim.

Very durable too. We had an F2 tornado come close (about a mile away) a couple of weeks ago. Winds gusted to 70mph at my house and the cover didn't come off or rip or anything. I have a security cable going under the car which helped also.

How does it hold up in the rain? You mentioned it is lined on the underside. I'm just curious if this effects the breathability.

I have had this cover since last fall and the car is parked outdoors 365 days a year. Even after big storms the car is 100% dry. The cover is a very heavy hybrid type of material, not exactly rubber and not exactly cloth. It has a felt underside and protects the paint. If you look at the the vents on the windshield and the rear window, it lets heat escape and doesn't allow moisture in, kind of a check valve. I'm 100% satisfied with it and recommend it as a great product. I think it was around $200-250, well worth it. The fit was excellent too.

Yah, I noticed that and that is a very nice feature. Never thought about that before but that's going to be a requirement on my next one.

I just got an iro shield cover for my fury. It fits quite well but I have a dumb question, how do i know which is the front and which the rear? It looks like i could have put it on backwards....:BangHead:

Does it have pockets for the mirrors? Most of the time there is a small tag under the front or rear lip stating if it's...the front or rear. Or there is a stenciled "front or rear" on it.

I bought a "wolf" car cover for my 68 T/C wagon many years ago. 5 layer unit off e-bay. Have been having to store the wagon outside this year since I lost my additional storage spot earlier this year. It has been holding up well, and protecting the car from "ALL" the elements. Would not hesitate to buy another one.

Just put a covercraft Evolution 3 on this week. Lots of snow up here during winter so needed something durable. Wasn't cheap but fits well and looks good on the old girl. Could use a few more grommets by front and rear wheels for tiedowns as it gets very windy here. $250 USD which is around a million Canadian

We can get wind gusts up to 60-70MPH here in Calgary so not sure if the clamp idea would work gonna try one of those tarp repair kits that come with a grommet punch and bungee cords.

I use a 1" ratchet strap front and rear on my covers during hurricanes.
