Good looking carb. Is that a new one or a rebuild? If it's new it might be quite different inside compared to a original carb.

That's interesting... I didn't know anyone was building the 2 barrels now, so I wonder if it's old stock that was sitting on the shelf. That might play into having old gaskets that either aren't real happy with the ethanol spiked gas or have dried up. Carb looks brand freaking new though, so that takes it out of the rebuilt category. Its a new one

I'm really wondering if the tech that got it dialed in for you actually set it so it runs or looked at the 1972 spec and set it to the specs. Since you might have a Cali cleaner air package or some screwy retrofit that they mandated back in the 70's, we might be dealing with other factors that a lot of us aren't used to.
I don't know what your own ability is, so that might help us to know. Let's start with if you own a timing light? How about a vacuum gauge?
BTW, the Bold uppercase didn't bother me, but some guys look at it as getting yelled at. All of us older guys have already been yelled at enough by teachers, bosses, ex wives... That's all.
