No such thing I say. Stunning, though...

1974 New Yorker Brougham 2DRHT Survivor, was my dad's car, he bought it from the original owner here in the Reno/Sparks area. Has just over 78K miles, with original factory paint, code T5 Sienna Metallic, was going to install a new vinyl top before selling, but on a friends advice decided to leave it up to the new owner, as far as color choice etc. The factory top color was V1L which is Parchment or Beige. Also, by leaving the top off, you can see that besides a very thin surface rust, there is no major or minor rust on the roof or anywhere else. The 440 runs really nice, quiet, smooth and powerful. The 727 shifts perfect. I recently installed new front brake hoses and new semi-metallic brake pads, along with a new master cylinder, bled entire brake system, and installed a new idler arm. The front end still needs a little work, not sure what else it needs, maybe new strut rod bushings and sway bar bushings. It brakes extremely well with the new S/Met pads though. The interior needs some upholstery work on the driver's side seat, but the rest of the seats are just beautiful and still soft, even the top of the rear seat backs are still soft! One power window does not work, the passenger rear quarter window. The driver's window jiggles a bit when lowered, the window guide post needs to be lubricated. The top of the dash pad discolored after i cleaned it, but it can be re-dyed as it's still pretty soft. The driver's door arm rest has a cover on it that my dad installed to cover a crack i believe. My dad recharged the A/C, but it lost the charge over time. The cruise control works. It is a very loaded car, with Power Windows, A/C, Cruise, Tilt/Tele, Power Trunk Release, Rear Window Defogger, Light package, 6 Way Power Driver's seat, Power door locks, AM/FM 8-Track Stereo, LED Warning lights, ( one of the first Detroit cars to have them along with the gauges), Chrome Styled Road Wheels, etc. I have the build sheet and the original owner's manual. I polished the paint with Meguiar's products by hand, but i think that with a buffer, the paint will look spectacular for original factory paint from 1974. This car is coded on the build sheet as having "show car finish". There are a couple of very small dents, they are in close up pics. The chrome is still very nice, and still original. I hate to sell this car, but i already have too much to do and can't spend the time it so much deserve's. If you have any questions or want more pictures, please message me through ebay, and i'll send them to your e-mail. As with any vintage car, especially a survivor like this one, it's not perfect and will need some restoration work, but not nearly as much as most. Of course, it is sold as-is. Thanks for looking.

Then its probably a early production car, first or second day. I have a fender tag of a show car finish for a 70
Convertible

LOL! What's the build sheet code for "show car finish"..........never heard of that!

I would like to see pictures of that on the production line.

Wow!

Didn't know Chrysler had a factory car wash crew.....

It's a Y 9code under vehicle delivery and handling. My Hurst has a special order code on the broadcast sheet.
Just looked it up on my sheet from the 300 H
First row far right on the sheet of the Ebay car.

I'm looking for a Y91 or a Y93 code which would be correct on Formals but I don't see it.
And I don't know the differences between the two either.

First day of production you say? Must have a ton of leftover 73 parts put on it.
Be interesting in discovering them.

The broadcast sheet shows a Y9 5 under the "showcar finish" column, the 9 already pre-printed in the upper part. Carsten knows quite a bit I think at least for fusies, maybe he'll add something.

No expert, but the column where the 5 is printed in says expressive show car finish when I take mine for a look, mine is left blank there, the one from the ebay car has this 5 print.

I have mine here in front of me. With this one it is very first row the very last column which is a bit elongated over the other columns; this box belongs to seven that all go under " Y vehicle delivery and handling " but you're right this could something else on the one of the 74, can't read it in the pic, was my initial presumption they have the same pattern.

Then its probably a early production car, first or second day.

Take an enlarged look at this one from a Plymouth, Stan first row last digit says S Car finish, mine had it written out still in 70.

Still there only shows up y93 and 94 for show car finishes, while 95 says 5 gal. gas as you posted, just irritated that this shows up under s car finish.

Yeah, the sequence number is high, too high for an early build. Why does he say it has a Y93 code?
