Carlisle 2021

### I waz there Friend Bob, Saw your "Go Fast Challenger but not you? Same with Big Johns Brown Drop Top, but no Big John? Same with Rips Red '66 but no Rip? And it waz dam 11:00 before I could breach the groundz because every body and their brother waz playing the "hit me and I'll sue" game trying to get thru' gate 3 in their $10K - $25K toyz . Meanwhile, I waz being Chauffeured around all weekend in a 1960 300 White F Convertible that looks like it just came off the show room floor. We Made it to gate 3. I jumped out at the gate and went and picked up my rental scooter and started coursing and looking for Car-Budz. Scroll down on this same page Bob. I'm sitting there with Catnip and Will in the yellow shirt. (Not sure who the guy waz next to me but I kinda knew him. Never got to moon Dave either but I never found any one with a camera for the pic that I was sure wouldn't try playing leap frog me when I had my back turned. Got reacquainted it one of the original Ramchargers that I hadn't seen since the late '70s. (used to race Dirt Bikes back in the '60s + '70s with him and a few other Car-Bike-Buds around the Jack Pine Trail in Central Michigan. Bumped into Danielle Armstrong under the same canopy with the Ramcharger's that was Hanging with the Golden Commando Group. Any body poke their head into that Canopy This weekend? Danielle's Mom and Dad Taught ah bunch of Wanna Be 1320' scooter types, Just How Fast a 4200 '62 Sport 300 can cover ground when it's been "tweaked" right. Her folks and that '62 300 Sport under the canopy got inducted into The Golden Commando Hall of Fame this weekend. Maybe we can get yeah that moon shot for yeah next year Dave. Later All and happy Trails, Jer

Dang it! I'm sorry that I missed you Jer! I walked the whole C-Body line and looked at some of the E-bodies since they were right next to us. I pushed it as far as I could with the walking. I hope I'm in better health next year and can stay longer so we can moon Dave! I did see the picture with you and Jeff and Samplingman. I'm not sure I remember his name. We did talk for a bit Saturday.

We just got home about 45 minutes ago. We hit a lot of rain, more as we headed north.

No one told me it was drive like an idiot day... Seemed like there was a lot more stupidity than usual. Did people forget how to drive during the Covid?

This was a close call, probably more than the video shows. Rt 81 just headed out of Binghamton, NY.

NWS for language.

I know that stretch very well and yes many idiots drive there. Worse up the road when it goes down from 3 lanes to 2.

Blew by this rig westbound today on the pike before I hit the monsoon in Ohio.

He wanted 1800 for that. I want that front bumper. Guess he wants to sell it whole. We shall see how that works out.
it didn't sell. I didn't notice if it still had its bumper or not though.

Sorry James!
I met so many people and I just can't remember names. However I can name everybody by their FCBO call sign.

Same here... But, if you're coming next year, I will too! :poke:
(If the borders are open again next year..)

They'll be closed for Canadian/ USA mingling. We can go to Europe and most other countries but you can't come here, UNLESS you are coming from the southern border to which you can get right in and we'll give you health care and a monthly income.
So I recommend shipping your car to Mexico and driving up and seeing the US and spending a week at Carlisle, On us of course.

The votes were stolen!!! @sixpkrt got robbed from getting his first place plaque. The attention his car received over the weekend was amazing. From Illinois to Carlisle, and the way back as well, everyone loved his car. While the car awarded first place was nice, it was not the true winner, but knowing the right people apparently secures a trophy.

I had a blast, met some new faces to go with their handles, and look forward to going again next year.

Big shout out to @cuda hunter for being kind enough to cart us around while dealing with the car issues we had. I owe you one!

Congratulations on your award, Tim!

If you went solely on deserving then a Polara would win every time .

It has always been that way and while " fair" is a loose term let's keep it in context. This is peer judging. People tend to pick their favorite model, color, engine size or they know the guy.
Many MANY years ago we saw a lady walking around with a stack of Ballots. She was the one who went around for the NEHOA and voted for all their members, that was her job .

As long as you had a good time

Stolen votes in Pennsylvania? Wouldnt be the first time, certainly wont be the last time....

what's up with the Canadian U.S boarder? plandemic restrictions?

Who knows? Michigan sure has been pushing Canada to open the border.
One of my summer hangouts is the park right under the Blue Water Bridge between Port Huron and Sarnia. Families that can’t cross border celebrate Father’s Day and birthdays by use of their phones or bullhorn and waving to each other across the river.
