OK, what's stock?
If you open up the box, you better understand that when you put, let's say, a different front seat in your station wagon, or a decal on the side, it's not stock anymore.
I could make an argument for the Serv-Pro wagon to actually be a special interest car and not appropriate for a stock class. It's like a cop car.
Hell, I didn't make the classes but thats what we have now...69-73 C body Stock I broke it down like they do for the B/E classes.
You are right about that, I should have parked with wagons or special interests in 19. I just wanted to be there and knew it wasn't even gonna qualify as a runner up.
But last year I had a car parked properly in the correct class. Didn't come to win. But to see not one but TWO 300s parked out of class get 1st in 3rd, it makes me wonder...how different the results could have been. Maybe Dave would have won? Maybe Tims 71 New Yorker? Maybe my vert? Who knows.
The facts haven't changed. Guys are parking out of class and winning.
