For me, driving these old rides on a long distance cruise is the only way to appreciate a C Body.
Some pics with @david hill to Carlisle from the road.....

The last few pics were from the trip back to Illinois.
The Canadian smoke in the the air was thick on Sunday.
Finally made it back home around 1:00 am.
Would've been earlier, but the New Yorker has a hard time passing gas stations.
Tallied gas receipts this morning came to $593.06
That was unexpected but making to Chryslers at Carlisle was worth every drop of petrol.

Who the hell would bring such a car to a car show? Must have had to trailer it, because surely it would not be able to drive very far, let alone drive 1900+ miles in a week on Hot Rod power tour.
@sixpkrt and @david hill was good to talk to both of you on Thursday, sorry I didn't catch back up with you guys later.

Where the heck have you been? Even @polara71 made the photo on Saturday….
:poke:

nice car, BTW, welcome!

Is the Imperial parked next to you a forum member's ride? I don't recognize it. But, love it, too.

I asked, he wasn't sure. (...)
The owners name is Michael. Nice guy but was gone when I returned, I wanted to get his contact info. His car won the Imperial award.

This superb 1973 belongs to @73MFImperial and resides in Northern Virginia.

I'm sensing sarcasm. Did BBD finally bring a car to the field ?
