Carlisle 2025

That hurst 300 also got a 3rd place and a celebrity pick, I do remember you really wanting it Dave. I figured it was the one after I saw the 2 window stickers in the window. You shoulda asked them I’ll trade ya my wagon for the 300

I hope everyone got over to the Expo Center.

I only grabbed a couple pics.

Not one, but two Turbine cars.

The Chrysler Atlantic. Mrs. Big John asked me if I could get this one for her birthday..

And Walter P's toolbox. As someone that spent some years as a Tool & Diemaker, I really appreciated this. Some of these tools were made by him.

Do you know if that is the Hurst that was offered up here? This time last year was for sale?
I made an offer on the car but couldn't come close to asking. Gorgeous car.
Thats the one. It likely went to a better home than I could give it. My number was a little lighter than that.
Congrats Dave on winning best in C Body Stock.

.That Wagon runs and drives flawlessly. When I got it, it had a slight miss, a stumble maybe. It is an absolute pleasure to drive and the attention is stupid. I had it in the car corral for several hours. It drew like flies on honey. Holy smokes! An older gentleman stopped me when leaving Friday. He stopped me while driving the car through the swap on my way to gate one. Said " this is the most beautiful car on the field, everyone's talking about it. You can't sell it, it's the best car here, gorgeous car".
I wish I saw what he sees.

My disappointment is we couldn't get Rips car a top spot in the voting.
Congratulations on your win and celebrity pick Dave .Even though I wasn't there this year I remember the wagon well. What a standout .Although I still see you behind the wheel of a two door fuselage .Seems to me that's what you really lean towards.

Italy is nice, but not as beautiful as these C bodies! Congrats @polara71 , maybe you should keep the wagon. Did Jeff sell the Navajo, or was it just on the show field?

What happened? We left a little early.

I was walking to my car from the lane that led straight into the nose of our cars, five guys under the hood, asses and elbows I tell ya. Won't start. I can't get into particulars because it wasn't pretty but Thank God for Mike the morning trumpeter with the 71 polara sedan. He figured out the rotor wasn't making contact with the cap. A lot of guess work going on until he showed up with a trunk full of electrical spare parts. He had it running in 10 minutes.
The Ripinator didn't wanna leave.

My stepdad also got home safe and sound with no issues, with hardware in hand. He got home a couple of hours ago at 4:00. I will post pictures of the awards with the car at a later time….

You're more than welcome Dave.
Sorry I missed you guys before you left the fairgrounds on Sat. The rain held us up from getting packed up in an expedient manner.

I planned on staying till 7-8 ish. The rain made me pack up and roll out just after 4. We left for home at 620 this morning.

I missed the picture, but had the whole crew there. Saturdays rain got us some time at the laundromat that evening. Interesting enough there was no dew on the tent this morning. Pulled out about 10am and got home shortly after 2pm. Minimal rain, more blow up off the road.
