Carlisle car show?

Me an my dad both live in VA an where thinking about driving up to the show for the first time but my dad would have a rough time walking around all day an enjoying the show. i wanted to know if they would be somewhere there i could rent him a motorized chair so he would be more comfortable for the long day?

There is a building just inside gate 3 where you can rent them. I don't know if you need to reserve ahead of time or not.

They are not cheap --- $ 85 / a day, but they are good for all day, and so many people utilize them --- you had better call and reserve one...

Carlisle is 84 acres --- that is a L O T of walking --- especially for the older crowd, no question....

And with parts galore on both sides of the aisle, do you think those who can only do one side, actually walk the whole "168 acres" ??? NOT !!! (LOL)...

BS! I do it every year, multiple times , Thursday then Friday sporadic Saturday and Sunday.

Glad to hear you may take the trip out to the show Blake, it is a great show and the best on the planet. Hope to see and meet you in person. They do have motorized chairs there yes, I seen a few people with em. Get the ol Sport Fury ready! Let us know how everything goes

My wife used the rented mobility scooters from Carlisle for many years before she got her own. Definitely call ASAP to reserve one. If none are available try some local places.

My wife and I will be sharing hers this year as I have a foot issue and the doctor says I have to limit my walking and standing.

The owners of the rental scooters will hold your drivers license for the day when you rent the scooter, No big deal but it's their rule and it puts you in line for up coming rental days without them holding your D.L. until you pick up the scooter, Jer

Where in Va? I don't need or want your address, Just the city. Their is a neat way to get to Carlisle from Richmond without the bottleneck of DC and Baltimore. Just go straight thru' Richmond on 95 or take the west side loop up to the I-64 junction and run it over to I-81. Go north and It'll take you right to Carlisle and save you every bit of at least and hour of the stop N go in the north eastern Va. zoo. I learned that way from a Car-Bud that lives in Richmond. Jer, in Wilmington, N.C.

Dad rented a scooter once while there. He was on crutches after surgery. It worked out well but he did ***** about the cost.

i live in southwest VA about 45 min from bristol TN. i will be taking 81.

You might want to jump over to US 11 and follow it all the way to Carlisle. Takes longer but is a much better drive.... Unless your a destination traveler.
