Chrysler drew a blank

I see lettering.

The first box is a G or a 6.
The second box is a 3 (?).
The third box is a 0 or a 9.

End of story.
The sticker is faded or the lettering was rubbed off with acetone or something.

I saw a tag that was faded to the point that you see the pictured example, a few months back at the local pull-a-part. It was on a '77 Cordoba. It was definitely original to the car, but it was impossible to see any printing on it.

Maybe that was another one of Johnny Cash's cars that was built "one piece at a time" :laughing4:

There's an 0 before the G.

My guess is sun bleached. If the door is left open is the tag somewhere the sun can hit it? Ma chrysler wont have planned for uv exposure in an area that supposed that not supposed to be exposed to sun.

Anything is possible, this car is sitting in a field at the edge of some woods, the door is always closed when I go there. There is a lot of growth around this car it's hard to access.

Brutally honest....
A good friend on this board said i have something called jersey dead pan humor i believe it was

So I guess that car has no heart beat, soul or life left in it and can never be revived !!! Totally "EXPIRED" :icon_hang:

I just spit out my fikkin soda..........

Timing, timing, timing..........
Sticky to the top, please.

I changed a door on a Charger once and successfully transferred the decal. Use a heat gun and peal it back carefully. On the new door, I masked and sprayed a square of silver paint and placed the decal in the wet paint and it stuck! Didn't look half bad. It was just an experiment to see if it could be done (if the Feds are listening)

Not unusual at all to see a blank tag. I've owned a few cars and a couple of trucks where the tag ink had faded so badly, that the tag appeared blank, like this one.

If you ever try to pull off a decal, you'll see the words VOID VOID VOID all over the remains of the tag, as the underneath side will remain stuck to the car door, while the top is designed to peel right off, revealing the VOIDs.

This is not the legal VIn, it is unregulated.
