For Sale Chryslers at auction in Minnesota

What do you think ballpark they are gonna go for?? I know a few different models, but I can't see them going over 5 ( maybe the wagon)
You already know that the auction company is going to try and get every bit they can. Staring high and ending up quite a bit lower. These Chryslers are far from mint and when zoomed there is rust and the interiors might be questionable. I'm thinking they will be averaging $2,000 -$2,500 for the formals.
The last Minnesota collector auction I attended (a VanDerBrink Auction) had mostly 60's Chevy sedans that some were running only brought less than $2,000

I don't like the idea that you can only see the outside at a distance.... no motor shots, no interior, no underside. Big gamble.

I haven't been to the Lake City area for a while. Thinking about running up the river to check the auction out. Then heading up to Red Wing to visit some friends.

I talked to Steve Heitman (the owner) about 3 months ago and he's open to a visit and inspect the cars. Of course, if you're on the East or west Coast that's probably not going to happen.

Someone such as myself or @Newport 66 may be able to get over there and inspect and document a car if a member is interested. Overtime is drying up and I'll have time before the auction happens, PM me if you'd like a car looked at.

^^ Yes, Go for it! I've got medical stuff to deal with in the next 10-12 days and I might take a spin up there after that! I'd recommend calling him first!

I'm going to try to go there at the end of next week (June 12-13-14) depending on a couple of small issues around here!

Thanks for doing this. If you see the Maroon 66 New Yorker, can you take some pics of the interior and usual areas of concern. Motor as well.

Thanks a mil!

I will do that....I must warn you I only have a flip phone with a camera, so they won't be as good as if they were taken from an I phone.

FYI - hundreds of additional pictures have now been added to the auction website of the cars giving a much better idea of their condition. Also on the Proxibid site it lists the engine size and running condition.

I am going to try and inspect the cars in person the weekend before the auction. And I plan to attend auction also

I should of never taken a closer look at the additional pictures. I'm really fond of at lest four of those beauties (and maybe one more).

Even if two of them are R-bodies, because R bodies matter.

Made the road trip to Lake City this past weekend and was able to check out the cars prior to the auction. Steve the owner was super nice and came across as being very knowledgeable. For being a “derby guy” he actually did try and save the ones he has. Unfortunately he sold off all the parts he had to a junk yard already, so no parts will be sold at the auction. Plan is to bring a truck and enclosed car trailer on Saturday. Fingers crossed that the one(s) I’m interested in go for the right price. Just hoping they all (or at least most) fall into the right hands and continue to live on.
