This 40 year old classic Chrysler is ALL ORIGINAL with just 25,181 miles. 400cc V8 engine.Original paint, original red cloth interior, even original tires. Tires have good tread and are not dried out. All electric: Windows, Seats, Door Locks. AMFM stock radio (no upgrades). 4 door hardtop - no door posts. A/C blows but needs to be recharged. Been shown once and got 2nd place overall. Original owner passed away and was purchased several years ago from estate. Always been garaged and never smoked in. I have all mechanical records since new. Incredible ride! Pristine! Call or text John

I wonder why this has been for sale for years. My guess would be the price because the pictures look like a well equipped, nice condition car.
You must be new here :poke::lol:

SFP = Standard Formal Price = $2500:(

:welcome: to the Formal era...:BangHead:

I guess I have to turn off the tv. Barrett Jackson was on. That seems to cloud my brain on true values. I like watching the cars, I should just watch it with the volume off.

watch it with the volume off

+1 on that, not just for BJ. Commercial I saw the other day about sleep disorder, Narcolepsy?
What now I have a disease because I take a nap in the afternoon or go to bed too early in my senior years and wake up at stupid AM in the morning?... Hell my body goes into UTC time about now to follow the fortnight of racing over in the Isle of Man, been like this for almost two decades. Use to feel like jet-lag when the races were over, worse now as Radio & Internet TV coverage from the Northwest 200, Pre-TT, TT, Post TT, Southern 100, Ulster GP, Classic TT & Manx GP leave very little time to recover!

Ha Ha, take a pill! :realcrazy:

I'm really not understanding why these cars aren't worth $10K when they are low mileage and clean.

None of us really do... I suppose those of us who find them to be "must haves" watch the market a bit and decide our bid prices from there. he smart money would definitely be to buy one that's been worked out already. But that kills off many of the low mileage claims, which just sat as owners hoped they'd appreciate to the original purchase value.
They haven't caught on. . . .yet.
IDK if they ever really will. Someday they may be worth as much as the older cars... but I'm not sure if that will be the Formals rising, or the others falling. The only real advantage you might find in a low compression smog engine in one of these beasts... is the ability to run crappy 87 octane...

I felt the same way about c bodies, " They will not climb in value ". Over the last 20 years both slabs and fuselage bodies have climbed at a quicker rate compared to Formals. I believe Fuselage bodies have climbed the most.
I'm not convinced formals will either but history suggests different.

Of any Make and Model, Formals are impossible is get a grip on what their selling price will be. The figures are so skewed that it just best to ask a gazillion dollars and keep lowering the price until the ridicule from "the experts" subsides. Even Motley Fool couldn't track these cars.

I always thought the formals were beautiful from when they were new. Better than the Lincolns and Caddys of the same era. I think their time hasn't really happened yet. But I don't think the Lincolns and Cadillacs of this time frame are any more collectible.
