Could someone tell me how to remove the clock stem so i can get the bezal off ? I thought it come off with an allen wrench but cant remember.its on my 65 fury.

Isn't there a little screw in the middle of the knob holding it to the shaft? I don't rightly know your clock?

There is a tiny screw on my 66 300.
That's where mine's at too.

Tiny flat head. Don't lose it!

Thanks guys , i figured it out with a magnifing glass. Its a small special screw that you would never find one like it if it got lost. Anyway does anyone know if they make an after market radio that will fit my dash ? I don't want to cut my dash or bezel .

Please don't do that. You can have your original converted. Many here have used this guy including myself. AM/FM Stereo Conversions for old car radios

Or just surf around on E-bay, craigs, etc. for the old style radio, tape, etc; but don't you dare cut that dash!

“Barry’s 8track” has had my 1975 unit for over 2 years now.. Boy! I hope it is worth the wait....

Barry's 8Track as in Prescott, AZ? After two years, I would be a little concerned! Dumb question but if your in Westchester, NY, why did you send it to Arizona?

I have a 65 and I put a Sony XR 2500 in. Has cassette, AM/FM and I put a 12 CD changer in trunk along with an amp. Fit perfectly and works fine. Wish it had blue tooth but not going to change out given the cost of the conversion ($800+). The XR is no longer manufactured but I have seen them, new in box, on e-bay.

I’m in Westchester yes. At the time I sent it out! I knew of no one else that did the conversion on a unit with 8 track and be able to make the track work with the new conversion.. non-8track units conversion place are all over. Even met a few at Carlisle, but mom did 8tracks. So once my unit was in Barry’s “Q” for repairs, I didn’t want to lose my place.. his reviews are highly spoken of.. it is what it is now! Should be done before Carlisle 2019.

Here is a stereo suggestion but it assumes your music would come from something with bluetooth connection like your phone or ipad. Just use any old shaft radio working or not to keep the look. Then buy any cheap 2 channel amp - must be small. Can be like this one which I have used but maybe overkill Soundstream ST2.1000D (st21000d) 1000W Max (500W RMS) Stealth Lots of small amps are now called power sports, marine or motorcycle. Then hook up one of this Bluetooth receivers to the amp JL Audio MBT-RX All of this will fit behind the dash or under the seat. Now just use your phone to connect and play music. Keep in mind.....
-no am/fm
-volume control from phone.
-probably require another wire from 12+ source to amp
-if using the factory speakers and wiring then need to splice into the factory wires from the amp
-can be done with 4 speakers too for almost same price
-if you get new speakers too will sound MUCH better.

**you can buy an amp with Bluetooth integrated into it but the $ go up and I think the Bluetooth tech will change enough that it might get obsolete, for example if you get a new phone.
**you could skip Bluetooth altogether if you don't mind a wire coming from behind the dash. use this https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics...4556&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=3.5mm+to+RCA&psc=1
