I just saw yesterday on the news that the 3 inches of snow you got in Detroit, broke the old record set in 1880-81. I believe it was around 96 inches. I think you should root for 4 more inches and make it an even 100.

At this rate you won't have salt free roads until July.:3gears:

In Columbus Ohio we have had about 54 inches and I can't remember more snow in a single winter. I can't imagine almost double that.

The last few inches yesterday didn't even stick to the warm road (70's three days straight), but of course the state covered them in salt.

This year we had 18 measurable storms but still didnt beat the record of 2010 when we had 4 huge storms totaling 90 % of that years snowfall total

A record that's the envy of all here.................................not! Sorry to hear man!

Thanks Mike but I would have been kool not beating the record. I think because it'd been a while since the last snow and things were warming up nicely. I even had the Imp and my vert out on Saturday morning for sponge baths....
anyway, the old record was 93.? And we beat it by an inch or so and it was like a January snowy day not an April snowy day, windy and cold. I'm flucking done.

Yes we had a beautiful weekend too, but yesterday was nasty. We got 3 inches and it was in the 20's most of the day and windy, nasty day. It recovered nicely today sunny and 5o, but felt warmer.

It always makes me feel better to know that somebody has it worse off than we do in Columbus. It's hard to believe that anybody has it worse than we do but comforting, none the less.

Already harvesting asperagus over here. Mjam.

I'm waiting for PETA to start protesting the "Broons" (that's how we say it in Boston) mascot.
The world is running amuck.

hi detmatt. i am across the river from you. i have not seen a winter like this in 30 years. i am so flucking happy to see spring springulating . yoo hoo.

I think winter has finally given up here. We had snow earlier this week, but hopefully that was the last.

132" of snow this year, a little bit more than our average 124".

I feel sorry for you Matt.
Our winter was so mild we did have zero snow this year in my area.
I could drive old Mopars all winter

How many inches is average for you over there Carsten?

we do not count inches here.
I am living in an area which has less snow than most parts of germany.
But usually we have about 3-4 weeks snow on the ground in my area in total.
Last winter (2012/2013) was more rough, we had about 75 days with snow on the ground and it stayed long till early april
