Contemplating A/C

I am in the process of swapping a 5.2 magnum into my '67 Fury III. I am going to use the V-belt set up to keep the classic look. While I am at it I have been pondering the idea of adding A/C.

I see companies like Bouchon Performance have kits to use and many of the accessories.

Does anyone have a photo of a C-body with factory A/C where the hoses go into the firewall. I assume I would need to cut to run new hoses?

From the factory,the cars with A/C came with a different firewall compared to non A/C cars.
The heater boxes are totally different between the two as well as the heater hose locations.
In a "perfect world" cutting out and installing the "correct" firewall would be a lot of work. I had a few friends go that far since they really wanted A/C in their car and look "factory".

But that being said,a lot of non-A/C cars had "dealer installed" A/C with underdash units.
You can do a "vintage" day two underdash install or...
Go with a Vintage Air complete system that fits in your factory heaterbox location.
They do show where to cut the fire wall in their instructions for their system.

I converted my car many years ago and I can tell you that it's not an easy job. Especially if you only have a parking spot in an open lot and a small assortment of tools. It was great being young and dumb is about all I can say.

A lot of these knee knockers were installed under the dash when our C's were just cars...

A much simpler add-on system where just a couple holes are cut in the firewall for the hoses,and floor (for drain tubes)
They are still available through Summit believe or not!
Still have to get a compressor,dryer,hoses,and condensor,though.
Run a modern Sanden compressor and with the pulley set up you are considering mention what compressor you want to use.
