Convertible Top Adjustment Question

the top is a bit too far forward in general. the windows don't touch the frame when raised up.
There is about a 1/4" gap.
the front ofthe top has to be pulled back and down to get it to latch as well

it shows in the FSM minor adjustments for the front section.
both mine are puled back from a previous owners adjustment
Also keeping the back lights wrinkle free as much as possible.
And adjustment of the rear cables. both mine are loose right now.
There is also a carpet like felt on the bows. is this supposed to be like velcro to hold the top down while driving?
Mine tends to balloon with speeds over 45mph.

My front weatherstrip is toast.
Can I replace this without destroying the other parts?

this is what I have...

You may need to shorten the tension cables, (adjust), to pull the header back. The window gap could be a combination of adjusting the left & right brackets where they attach to the body, (rear slotted), and adjusting side window glass stops.
Is it a bare frame or is the cover installed......?

cover is installed.
Once I get well enough, I'll try tightening them up.

Another thing I see that is missing from my setup is this..
My drain pocket flaps are quite frankly... flapping with no attachment point
The snaps are there on the new well liner I installed but nothing to snap them to...

I did mark the power links when I disassembled and realize this needs adjustment.
Just having a hard time envisioning this stack height and what the measurement should be,
I'll keep digging in the FSM to see if it shows what the measurement should be.

Lastly, I wonder if this was not installed properly
I can stick my hand right through the frame work under the top to the outside side world.
Does it travel from front to back all the way or is it supposed to do that?

I normally take photos of everything before and during disassembly. Getting the frame adjusted and working right before installing the cover makes things easier too.
It's not that difficult, just good common sense. Work from front to back.
