Caddie came out swinging in 1939 MY .. The Sixty Series ("60, 61, & 62"-branded models, Harley Earl-Bill Mitchell babies) got lotsa marketing materials.

The ads were GM's most eye-catching... bold colors, action-packed settings. Apparently it helped.

Introduced very successfully as 1938 models, the 1939 "Sixty Special" (longest most luxurious Caddies, best selling model that year just as '38 models) lasted till 1993.
