Measure the length of the gas tank front to back? The one I took out of my 65 parts car is 41 inches long but sits too close to the rear differential. I'm thinking it has the wrong tank in it.
Thanks Kevin. Looks like the tank I have is 2 1/2 inches too long. Now I have to figure out what it does go to.
Lol! No I don’t…@detmatt wants to know how long is yer rod?
That's a relief Matt! But while I have your attention could you measure the length of one of your Imperial gas tanks? I'm trying to figure out what the one I have is. It's 2.5 inches longer than a 65-66 C body is supposed to be. Can't think of anything that should be longer other than an Imperial. 41 x 22 x 8 is the demensions.Lol! No I don’t…
Hey Chris. I actually don’t have a 67 gas tank here at the moment but based on the length of the straps I would say that 41 inch length is right. I then Shimmied under the Director and the measurement across the bottom of the trunk pan that has the support that positions the tank that 22 inch dimension looks right. That's a relief Matt! So is this used ‘67 Imp tank available?Fred from France found this and it matches up perfectly right down to all the stamping. So It must be for a 67-68 Imperial. Spectra Premium® - Chrysler Imperial 1967 Fuel Tank (carid.com)

Isn't the 65 Fury the only year C body with the fuel fill in the right rear fender? Would a Station Wagon tank be longer?
I think there are 20 gallon and 22 gallon variation's of these tanks.
