If it were handed to you, you wouldn't drive it?
If I got it, I would do a simple /6 to 318 swap using Schumacher mounts on the cheap, leave off the mufflers. remove one spark plug wire so it idles like crap, and tell everybody it was a cammed 440 six pack. Oh, and keep the hood down.

At the $850 of that wagon I would definitely be the right person. At $4,600 firm - not a chance.

Anybody know if the the three speed had changed to full synchro by '69?

My 3 speed on the column in my 69 barracuda would not go into 1st while rolling of course it had god only knows how many miles

I would leave the ''buzzin' half dozen leaning tower of power'' right where it is, and make it a daily driver. :3gears:...lol.

I have one that was an orig 6 cyl 3 on the tree, now has a 383 magnum with a hurst shifted 3 speed on the floor. Bench seat and no options at all from the factory but was upgraded with hd rr brakes and disc in front. I had not seen another 6 3 speed car.

Stan, I saw that intake on a RHD '61 /6 Valiant in Brisbaine in '87 when the wife and I were visiting OZ and knew I had to have one. Called the manufacturer in Victoria and had him ship one to Sidney and it was waiting at the hotel desk when we checked in the following week. Carried in my AWAL bag for the next three weeks. Yeah shoulda seen the look on the custom gals face in Oahu when she waz trying to figure out what the hell she waz looking at in her X-ray monitor when that AWAL bag came thru'.....priceless, and she wanted to see it! And to this day it's never been mounted! FYI Pal, It's for all intents and purposes identical to the intake that Mother mounted on those little 265 inline 6 hemis she sold in those cute little Australian Valiantz 'n Chargerz in the early '70s down there that she wouldn't let us play with here in the States, AAARRRGGGHHHH

They even had a six pack Option on the Oz 6 cyl. models IIRC.

I have to get my son to try and load some pictures on here, I have some of the shifter and interior for ya commando1.
I hope to have it ready for paint next weekend. So busy with grad partys and other house stuff hard to find "car time"!

Thanks. The reason I'm interested in the shifter is because in another Mopar forum, someone asked about converting the 3 on the tree to a floor shifter.
The so called best and brightest over there said the following:
The Hurst 3 speed shifter doesn't work on the Mopar 3 speed (he said he tried), and..
The 3 speed case has no mounting locations for a shifter (claimed by two others).
I'd love to see why they were wrong.

Hmm that's odd. I wonder if they are think a 6 cyl 3 speed is that way? My car has a 3 speed out of a '70 383 coronet. I bet that's the deal.
