I would buy 2 formals, spend a little of the left over on sprucing them up (new air fresheners and such). Then buy my roll bar for B'cuda and trans shield, maybe some slicks , the paint, and new lightweight wheels. Then put the family in one of the formals and go get some ice cream.
All of which would be better than some old pick up truck with a 100 horsepower 318

I had a brand new bare bones 77 Dodge pickup in 1977 when I was in the Amy. The dealership was doing great things to put soldiers in new vehicles back then.

Egg Shell White with black Dodge decals, red interior, Slant 6 with 3 on the tree, rubber floor mat no carpet. It did have A/C and a am/fm radio.
