If anyone thinks there car came from here I will gladly check any vins to see if I have the folder for the car. He was a Dodge dealer from 65 on and got the Chrysler-plymouth franchise in 1968.

The “H” engine code for 5th digit of VIN is the same for 1967-1968-1969 model years.
What always causes confusion is that “H” was the code for the hemi in 1966.
There were two 383 engine options starting in 1967, a 2 and 4 barrel (“G” and “H” codes) changing the hemi code on VIN to “J”.
Therefore both the 1967 and 1969 Polaras listed above had the following engine:
“H” 383 with 4 barrel
This changed again with the 1970 model.
“G” 318 / 2-barrel
Which was already pointed in out in the reply from member “ayilar” above.

Funny to see they raised prices after October '65, up enough to get $800 more for a similarly equipped car.
Thanks. Most 4-speed 67/68 C-Body convertibles were manual steering cool this one got PS, but only manual brakes. With 11" drums which they probably made you order with the 4-speed. Wonder if this car is still out there. Both 4-speed cars were ordered which makes sense, no dealer would order those for stock.
Bryant Motors in Renton, WA, had two customer ordered 1967 Fury 4-door 4-speed cars. One is the infamous 444 Fury III, the other was a Fury II ordered by an Boeing Engineer. That car hasn't turned up. Info is from the Owner's Son who was a Lot Boy at the time.

Just to add more to the crazy story of the 4-speed cars, the black 66, and the 67 were ordered by the same guy . He had both for a couple of months before trading the 66 in for another car and keeping the 67.

I just discovered that 'tdenkler' passed away in early 2021.
