Dad’s brand new 68 Valiant out of gas on I-75 just north on Cincinnati on way to Florida. Dad had just taken delivery of the car the day before. Yep, gauge still showed about 1/8th tank.
Incidentally, that car never ran right. Probably not the best “break-in” routine for a new car.

I keep a 2 gallon can in the back, just in case. Has came in handy once when running pretty close to a station. How is the fuel injection on the car? How do you like it?

It is alright however it has been a learning experience.

I will say things about modern gas cans are not all bad. With how air tight they are allows me to carry extra gas in the wagon on long trips. Because even though I fixed my gas gauge I still don't trust it yet. Also I found the No-Spill gas cans to be the best so far. Just push the button and pour. Still when I'm filling a car its a transmission funnel and I remove the top off the gas can. But that's just my two cents.

Storage - good, pouring - bad. Yep. That's how I see them.
