I've found plenty of selection in a 225/70R14 that is the correct replacement for my original 8.25-14 tires the car originally came equipped with...

Raise it back to OEM ride heigth...... 225 in either 14 or 15 inch. narrow band whites, (1")..... with OEM full wheel covers... or steel wheels painted body color with dog dish caps.

Bias ply...? no-No-NOOOOOOOOO you'll hate em. & RWL just don't get it on mid 60's cars.

235 70's are a little tall and wide for those wheels. 225's sound more like the widest for that type of wheel imho. Raised white letters look good!
