So I removed the door hinges on my 70 polara convertible due to the driver door sagging. Well it appears the bottom hinges are fine, but the top on the drivers is visably worn and the passenger side is not far behind. Are there any rebuild kits out there for the top hinges? Or what are my options for repair?

Thank you

plenty of hinge bushing kits out there (LMC, e-Bay, Year One). Not entirely c-body specific. you can add some weld and redrill the hinge if the pin wore through the bushing

Yes, this issue has been alive and well on GM pickup trucks since the middle 1970s. Pins, bushings, etc. ALL replaceable items. There have been hinge rebuild kits for B-bodies for years. Probably will work on C-bodies, too, just that no demand for C-body items like there is for B-body items.

So would B-body parts work for C-body hinges?
In my experience, yes. Even truck ones are the same. The only difference i've seen is pin length (and then i just cut 'em down!). Pin and bushing diameters appear same. The bulk of my experience is with fuselage cars, 68-70 b bodies and 81-93 trucks.

The hinge pins and bushings are pretty generic.

Here's a kit. Door Hinge Repair Kit for 1966-76 Chrysler Dodge Plymouth Mopar Bushings / Pins | eBay

This guy rebuilds them, but I have never used his service, so I can't say good or bad. 2024 MOPAR DOOR HINGE SERVICE FOR MEMBERS DISCOUNTED PRICING

Thank you for that! is there a how too on how to fix them?

and that is interesting you mention that guy. I actually sent him my hinges and he says he doesnt do C bodies. I am currently waiting for him to ship back my hinges.

That is who I suggested and apparently he won't do C-body hinges.... (see poat #8) That makes zero sense to me... The hinges aren't that different.
Are the dimensions different? (obviously). He probably has jigs already made to drill the old hinges out for new bushings. Post #6 but I see it now.

I really don't know the difference and I don't know how he's repairing the hinges.

I know how I would do it if I had access to a machine shop again... But I don't...
