Has anyone had there C body's weighed or put on a Dyno? If so what are your results. Just would like to get some specs for a project I'm working on. Also, if you never had it put on a Dyno, but ran it at the track. What was your ET and MPH. I'll need the weight of your car if you know that.
Thank you....

My old 4 door 65 I foot braked it for a little while with the poly motor that was in it. I ran 1/8th mile races only but it would run about 10.30's all day long! 2.60 60 foot.

Oh I know brother. I was just venting. Had a death in the family last night to add to all my other wonderful stuff going on. I never did make a 1/4 mile pass in the car so don't know on that one. I know what my duster ran and how much it weighed though. but the 60ft was horrible having to leave in second gear.

Give me the duster specs then!! ET, MPH, Weight!! It's all for testing, so it really doesn't matter if it's a C Body or not.

The duster weighed 3030 with with me in it. It had a 2.62 60 ft and ran an 8.19 @ 84 mph in the 1/8th and a 13.94 @104 in the 1/4 on the same pass. Now this was leaving in second gear (manual valve body in a 904) and the car had 3.91 gears with 235/60/15 bf goodrich street tires on it. Oh yeah not that it makes a difference but I had a .009 light on that pass!

Thank you for the information. It calculated to a 13.009. So the difference was starting the car in second. If the car had sticky's it would have ran the 13.009 or better!! What motor? I wish my C Body weighed that!! If so it would run into the 10's. Dammit..!! LOL. BTW, nice RT.

Also, sorry for your loss.

It was a 60 over 360 with stock crank and stock rods. KB 106 hyper pistons with a comp 280H cam. 488 lift and 280 duration. It had a single plane wieand intake with adjustable rockers and msd. Oh and it only had a 450 holley carb on it!It was a stock slant 6 converter that I pulled out of the original m/t combination that was in the car. No posi unit or anything in the car either. Hence having to leave in 2nd gear.

Car was fast! It was capable of running 11's I would say with a few changes. Love this stuff. MOPAR BABY..!!

Thanks guys. Your help was appreciated. The specs you gave me worked perfect and were right on the money to finish up my project.

1965 Sport Fury Convertible 440 automatic. original race weight was approx. 4250 lbs. I got it down to 3900 and still looks factory, streetable. Best 1/4 was 12.35. I have to dig up the time slip to get the details. I recall the best 60 foot times were in the 1.8 range.

Just remember that dyno sheets are like toilet paper. same usefulness. Et slip? Now theres something you can take home to your mother.

Well now, I wouldn't say there toilet paper. You could say the same for an ET slip also, because there's so many variables. Both in my opinion are good and work.

Nice times! With the numbers you gave me, the ET is on the money. Like to see if your car time slips match the MPH and 1/8 mile in the QMC, if you can dig them up sometime. Thanks for posting. Pictures below is your car in the QMC.

How ow did you manage to shed 350lbs off your car?

Here is one I built the engine for. Its an Aspen in stock trim with a decent little 360 that kinda matched the one in my old duster with just a bit more cam. This was from yesterday.
