Not a epic whoops, but I had a small whoops at work today. I had a carbed Ford with a 460 in the shop and it's running lean, the carb is clean, it has 67 jets in the primary bowl, so I jump the up to 70's, still lean, jump to 74's and still lean. This is when the boss is walking by and asks if it has a vacuum leak.
So I start looking and it seems like the base gasket is leaking, I pull the carb back off ( I had it off to check both float bowls for rust) this is when I noticed the nipple for the PCV hose and the hose was never connected to it
The carb is bolted back down and it will be up and running Monday.
