Was that Roger? I was going to say more about the Haydens but as a old racer friend of mine would warn me as we would enter the flat track pits that one of the couples that were with us his wife is related to the Haydens and to keep my comments toned down. ie The 'Flag Drag' incident or that he never won a mile race.
It was Roger that was on the Commentary Team for a old NBCSN Mile Race that they finally coughed up and put on YouTube for the pandemic stalled season. When I saw his face I thought oh boy here we go I gotta listen to his 'Twang'... but he was actually quite well spoken and good as a commentator.

Yes, Roger #95 @ Daytona in the infield section I believe.
The Hayden family was and still is awesome!! First time I met them was at Road America, Nicky was just a little kid and Roger was smaller still!! As time and many tracks we attended went by, we forged too many memories to recall or recite, we got to watch Tommy, Nicky and Roger grow into fierce competitors and Champions. But they never lost site of or forgot where they came from. Credit their parents with instilling respect and courtesy into the boys along with the drive to be the best at whatever they did. Nicky's death left us all with a hole that can't be filled.
5 miles from my house, driver survived. He was hauling a load of beef, they are still investigating What happened . He had only left the highway 75 yards
