So is a 1965 Monaco 383-4 speed a rare site (I've never seen one)? I ask as I'm looking at one, 2 door gold/ gold-white interior, w black painted roof. Guy claims its all orig, body looks straight and dry. Buckets w counsel. 383 is locked from sitting and needs paint and interior. any thoughts? Looks to be missing the horn center and that's about all. I'm not just looking for a rough value but rarity of the car, were these Canadian built? I'm most likely going to pick the car up as its way cool Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the site. Great find. First if you are looking to flip after restoration you'll never get your money back. If you want a rare ultra cool car that you can enjoy in the distant future go for it.

Welcome to FCBO. That is a very interesting car, and its probably somewhat rare, what with a 4-speed and a 383.

Looks like its been sitting outside for a while ? Have you got any other pictures - preferably one of the build tag ?

Yes picture of the build tag or build sheet? Looks like a cool car, but looks like it needs a lot of parts/restoring from the pictures you posted.

Barnfind, I have to ask the tough questions in this joint.
Are you a C-body guy or do you want it "cuz it's way cool"?

This is a U.S. spec car. Canadian cars use the Plymouth instrument panel and interior trim. This car also has the wrong wheelcovers on it. What's show in the pictures are the wheelcovers from a Polara. Monacos had an exposed lug style cover - at least in Canada.

I believe '65 Monacos came with spinner wheel covers, and the 383 4-bbl. motor was also standard. The 4-speed is "way cool" though.:poke:

Hey commando 1, I'm a mopar guy, always have been!!!!! I like lots of them too, A,B,C and D and Es. This car, I chose to pass on, as its more of a project than I need at the moment. I like quite a few Cs thought, I wouldn't catorgorize myself a C only guy. This car struck me simply as one COOL car that would have gone back stock. The 4spd, counsel and buckets in a C body really caught my eye and interest. Never really saw one before, Had it been in better condition I probably would have picked it up just because of the 4spd option, it wasn't easy walking away from, I don't know if I'll find a cool one w rare options like this again, but I'm still looking!!!
