Factory 4-Speed-C-Body-Photo-Thread

@Kup Hopefully the winning bidder saw that it had stick-on plastic fenderlip trim and isn't surprised. I feel your car was a much better purchase.

Anyway, here's another one:
NOT MINE - 65 300 Convertible 4 speed (North Judson IN) $6000
Currently FS on FB for $6000.
Don't know if legitimate, but likely it is.

It is noted to be disassembled, with lots of pics of parts.
There are pics of hood, trunklid, fenderwells, doors. Presumably the doghouse is off.
There are sufficient pics to suggest the interior is out, too.
Bottom pic shows the sexy goodies, and is kinda typical of what all the other pics show.

LMK if this is a repost and I'll remove it.
4-speed 426: 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury

I have an ebay listing saved for this car from April 2014 but it won't open.
The BAT listing is from 2014 also, and lists an ebay link, probably the same as the broken file I have.
My file folder contains '$24,600 sold', so I guess that's what it sold for.
It looks to be quite nice, yet I was amazed to see it sell for that much back then, with those rear wheel arches.

Note the last pic, which contains Govier data on qty of 426-4spd 65 Furys.

Hope this isn't a duplicate post of this car. Even if it is, there's something funny here.
I got sucked into BAT the other day and there are a few older listings of 4-speed cars.
Unlike ebay, their listings are viewable for quite a few years, as evidenced by the white 65 SF 'arches' above, from 9 years ago!

This one was discussed on here back in 2017, and in this thread it says it has been discussed prior to that. (more pics on BAT and in this FCBO thread)
For Sale - 1968 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible 383 4 Speed

Per comments on the BAT page, the winning bidder bought it as a surprise for his 68-yo brother.
So this car might have found a forever home. Unless the brother is dismayed by its condition and dumps it.

As I read thru the this thread, I saw something quite ironic. 5 years later, detmatt hit the price near-perfectly. (@detmatt @tbm3fan)

Black H code 67 Furry lll factory 4 speed. In 1964 when I was 6 years old my grandparents passed away and my father's youngest sister 16 came to live with us and finish High School. in 1966 my father bought a new Volkswagen Beetle and my aunt learn to drive the four speed. And when she graduated and got a job my dad took her to a car dealership and this car was on the showroom floor and she bought the car. My dad said when she left the dealership she Squad the tires in three gears driving it like a Volkswagen. She told me in the later years that all the guys that she worked with were envious of her car. then when I was in high school she gave me the car and I used to load up on my friends and drive 2 hours to a big city and listen to concerts like Bob Seger, AC/DC, Head East and black Sabbath, was a good time, but back then the car would only run on Ethel if you put regular in it it knocked and banged. Dummy me put regular gas in it a couple times and the camshaft ended up breaking and it was parked and I've had all these years and I still want to fix it up and drive it someday. Sorry for the long story. John

An IN-based car. Drool!
And welcome! You have made an undeniably-awesome introductory post.

As for pics, this website is one of the easiest for that.
Open a picture, right-click on it, hit 'copy image' or similar, come back here and right-click for 'paste' or press CTRL + the 'V' key at the same time (a shortcut).

John, great story!!!! Hopefully you will get after that car a get her going again. Gregg

91 is the tire code for 8.15x15 Black Steel-POLICE tires. Don't usually see that on a Civi car. Tallzag's 1968 440 4spd 68 Sport Fury convertible came with G70-15 white walls.

4 speed C bodies were a bit more common in Canada in 1965, because no B bodies were made for Canada in 1965, so any Mopar guy wanting a big block 4 speed had only the C bodies to choose from.
We did not have any 65 Satellites [ unless they were imported], so 65 Sport Fury's were somewhat popular here.
