Fender top blinker bulb replacement

Looking in the 1966 Chrysler factory service manual (as representative of '65-'68 C-bodies), that bulb number is "1816". Looking in the 1970 Chrysler factory service manual (representative for '69-'73 C-bodies), that bulb number is "330". Two completely different bulbs and related sockets, it appears. Not sure about '74-'78 C-bodies. A Google search using those bulb numbers (as bulb 1816) can bring up many places to buy them, in name brands.

To verify for your vehicle, you can look in the "Specifications" section of the Owner's Manual.

Just some thoughts,

Check to make sure the blinker has good ground, check for power before condeming the bulb.
Sometimes a little cleaning of contacts and the fender goes a long way
Pull the bulb and check for continuity with a multi meter.

Otherwise top up the blinker fluid. Lol !

Blinker Fluid, brought to you by the same people who have "Red Compression"," Blue Compression", or "Turquoise Compression" for the appropriate engine color. Nex month, "Non-Leaking Air" for confident tire use, too.

Vehicle is a 1967 Sport Fury III. Thanks for the bulb reference number. Was looking for advice on how to remove the socket from the fixture don't want to damage it. Power is available to the bulb even ran a jumper from the mounting stud to ground nothing. CBODY67 thanks for your clever advice!

Can you show a picture of the Sport Fury III emblems on the car?

If this is your fender light : Remove the light from your fender , loosen the small set screw , use a screwdriver in the slot of the lens to turn out the lens , unscrew the light socket from the back of the lens . Change the bulb.

If you’re in a gambling mood you can leave it on the fender , bypass loosing the set screw and try to remove the lens from the housing with a screwdriver but you risk breaking the lens .

Took a closer look at the lamp socket it unscrews from housing. Cleaned up all the corrosion inside and now works as it should. Thanks for all the input.

pack a bunch of dielectric grease on the terminal and electric connections after cleaning it up!
