Fiat killing the 300 SRT

Lower middle class? Have you guys ever priced an SRT 300? Well, they're 60K+++.

Yup lower middle class. It's more of a statement about the leadership and the media in this country creating an illusion that people are doing better than they are. No one wants to believe they're really lower middle class or poor. Unless of course the real American dream is "Just getting by" then it's a car of the upper middle. Because anyone I know that has one is doing just that, just getting by.

It's a pricey car in my book. The American dream has changed in the last 20 years from my vantage point. It used to be a family, a house -not a Mcmansion, 2 cars (that were basic but nice), and one trip to the beach a year. Fast forward to 2014. The dream now is a rub in someone's face your uber rich. Trips to Europe, cruises, new cars, expensive clothes, fat bonuses, and endless eating out. Then tweet about it, or post the moment on facebook.

Go read the book "The Millionaire Next Door". A interesting study of who is really rich, and who is not, if your curious.

You guys are nuts if you think a 65K car is being marketed to the lower middle class.

We need a rebirth of cars outfitted like a taxi and the engine bay stuffed to the max.
Nothing sold today fits this category.

Depends on your version of middle class I guess. I've got what I consider middle middle class in my family, retired beat cop, and rich, lead attorney for well known family. I look at both of these people and realized I'm barely lower middle. Closer to poor really.

I would take a 2014/2015 SRT 300 over any other modern car, hands down. If I didn't have a trailer, my truck would have been traded on one by now.

You wouldn't even get a vehicle like that legally registered These days, too much federally mandated crap and frankly I think such a car would not satisfy todays youth market.

Actually I'm talking about is a car without having to buy into fives upgrades to get the engine and driving the car into the $50k+ range.
WhyTF can't I buy a base Charger, and I mean BASE (as in Bait & Switch Sunday dealer ad BASE) with the RT-8 engine and a manual transmission.
WHY WHY WHY???
Because they don't have to. The sheep will buy into needing ALL the goodies.

WTF is next?
A Charger R/T STX Max Road & Track Plus 100th Anniversary Special RT-8 9 speed Dual Clutch automatic for $75,000.00? Take it or leave it?
Oh, and to get just the Nav requires the $4,500 Blose-Cardigan HomeTheater linked Info-tainment package with 111 speakers.
