Finally Found a Good One (I Think)

Awesome buy! I know a guy who has a few 70 Fury parts. None are NOS, but most good driver quality. And there in the state o Maine.
Please PM me...I would like to find out what he has.

I got mine last summer it was from florida but in nh no rust at all 318 drive it all the time not perfect but fun

I see it's a 318 car. One of my favorite's that my grandparents bought new that I've always regretted selling (it was getting really tired) was a 69 Fury II with the 318. That was the guttsiest little engine ever in my opinion. Congrats.

Thank you....I am glad it is a 318.

Out sunning herself yesterday while I replaced the power steering hoses on my Dakota...UGH!Waiting on the carburetor but figuring a few things out...bad grounds and battery make a big difference in how a car runs.More investigating today as she goes up on the rack for the first time.

Nice!

I am wondering what color your house is - it looks close to the same color on my house. (Off subject, I know, but you know what they say about curiosity and the cat)

Waiting for my free carburetor to show up( thanks Goose!) . In the meantime I pulled the plugs and cleaned up the interior a bit.Existing carb is dumping gas and flooding the motor badly.Probably why it won't idle correctly.I don't want to start it until I get the new carb rebuilt and installed correctly. The plugs are sooted black and you can smell gas in the chambers. Also, there is gas in the oil...not good.

Well, I have run into a very common problem nowadays. I am on my 3rd rebuild kit for the 2bbl carb. 1st one was missing several gaskets in a sealed package and the 2nd was labeled wrong and not for my car.Oh well, maybe 3rd times the charm.Common repair parts quality and availability is a real problem!

I see the experts have taken note of the very special sales order number on the fender tag
T24032 with a Y24 on the BC sheet
C.L.C. Lease car/Direct Leasing

Congratulations! Looks like an honest car there that you can cruise while tweaking. Please update the rear view mirror when you get a chance instead of that JC Whitney thing.
I have a chance to get this mirror off a 1969 Imperial for just the cost of shipping.Does anyone know if this driver side mirror will fit a 1970 Fury?

The Imperial mounts on the side of the door, thus the contour of the pedestal is curved. The Fury, I believe, sits along a flat ridge on the top of the door, so I would think not. The condition looks great, and might be worth it for the price of shipping for possible trade for the correct mirror.

I love the fact that more and more 318 powered Fury’s are coming out to play. Durable, parts a plenty, and virtually invisible to the engine stealing A, E and B body crowd. This one in particular is very nice, but I am biased, my first car was a dark green vert with green interior and a 318.
