All the parts I bought were the largest Firm Feel offered. Overall everything was great and I'd recommend them to everyone.

I have finally got my car moving again with all 4 wheels on the ground. Everything is installed except the rear sway bar as I'll have to reroute the exhaust a bit as well as my fuel lines (both aftermarket). It did take a very long time to get everything in but I did tell them I wasn't in any rush as I have no heated place to work in the winter. There was one unfortunate delay after some welds on one part came out cosmetically bad and he wanted to remake the part. If I remember correctly this was the rear sway bar.

The Install:

Overall it went well. All the parts an pieces looked perfect, were finished perfect, and were wrapped like they were your grandma's china. Almost everything fit perfect with the exception of the pins on the leafs being about 25 thou too fat for the sway bar mounting plate and the axle hole. This sucked to learn when the first leaf was hung so I had to file it in place. For the second I was able to measure and plan ahead.

I didn't expect the front sway bar to attach differently but once I had the instruction it went smoothly. It looks more stout that stock and my stock strut rods had bends where the sway bar attached.

The nylock nuts on the pins are a bit of a trick to get the pin to not rotate with the nut. The first one went great but I still think I might need to grab a couple jam nuts to ensure the second is actually as tight as I want it. I also found out that due to my exhaust routing the torsion bars have to go in from the front so make sure to do that before putting the LCA on. lock rings for the back of the torsion bars were a bit too small so I reused the factory wire ones.

The tube UCAs went quickly and easily. A little tapping with a rubber mallet to help guide them in line for the bolts and there they were.

There were a couple bits missing from my quote (which I didn't notice either) That I tried to order from Firm Feel then ordered elsewhere when they never got back to me after calling to pay my invoice. They've been busy and I didn't follow up so I don't hold it against anyone. I ordered some strut rod bushings from Prothane (for a B body iirc) and got some parts store U bolts for the axle.

The "Finished" Product:

First of all it was worth every penny and it felt a little silly putting all this nice stuff on my raggedy old car. The car is noticeably stiffer but not in any way too much. I haven't gone terribly fast yet but there is no body roll. The car feels tight and goes where I point it versus the previous "steering the ship" feeling of all my ruined rubber.

There is noise from the polyurethane bushing but it seems to only be in the rear shackles. I may have over tightened them and need to take a look and possibly back it off a bit. This can only be heard when pushing on the car while it is off and parked. There is no audible noise while driving of any kind.

The first bit of my drive as always was my sketchy driveway. This is where you hear any rattles or creative noises from things bottoming out. The car flexed just the right amount to not be violent but also not take a bite of dirt. Once on the road I found out I forgot to top up 6 months worth of leaky transmission. Once that was done it did the rest of the test drive uneventfully. The only adventure was the tree that wasn't in the road when I went by the fist time but was 2 minutes later after I turned around. I had it about 80% of the way when other folks started getting out of their cars to help...

Once I got home I confirmed all the bolts where where I put them and gave it a bath.

Any pictures of the install?
Not in any particular order but here's what I've got. There were two more but it wont let me upload

including shipping I think around $4600. Certainly not cheap but I tried it the "cheap" $2000 way on 2016 and here we are again.

Don't let anyone talk you out of polyurethane if you actually drive your car.
Thanks. I do drive my car, but I have heard the poly makes a lot of noise. What have you discovered?

When I get in or out of the car I can hear a creak from the rear shackles. You can also get a bit of noise by pushing the suspension at a corner. It isn't very loud and cannot be heard over the engine. I'm thinking I may have over-tightened the bolts causing the noise.

There is no noise of any kind from the front of the car.

I've made almost the exact same changes to my car. Did you notice a big difference in ride and handling?
Hoping to be driving mine next summer.....

The handling is wildly better than I ever imagined the car would be able to do. I'd hesitate to say it drives like a modern car but the body doesn't roll, it doesn't bounce all over the road, and I haven't found a speed yet where it'll start making the tires scream on corners.

I used to easily get it to a point passengers were worried about rolling while all 4 tires were screaming. Now I can take the same corner 15mph faster with the inside only slightly lifting and no sideways slide.

After 5,000 miles or so the squeaking has picked up a bit but you only ever hear it going over bumps at low speed. I still think all my noise is because I over-tightened the rear shackles.

I haven't noticed any squeaks yet. I went with the 1.12" torsion bars and the custom springs to lower my car an inch or so. Matt at Firm Feel was good to deal with. I told him I wanted to lower my car some and I wanted to get rid of the floating driving down the road. I'm hoping to have my car finished by next summer, but you know how that might go.?.? I need to install the entire interior, all the glass, and make some changes to the dash. I've driven it many miles on a large parking lot at the school I teach at and a couple miles on a private back road and I really like how it rides and handles on turns. It's a '65 Sport Fury.

Nice!!! I'm planning on putting a lot of miles on my car, so I haven't really skimped much on it. It's the most expensive build I've ever done for myself. It's my first car, purchased it in June of '79 and I'm making it the way I want it this time. Plan on going on many Hot Rod Power Tours with it.

Mine was also my first car ...in 2013.

I don't have the time or space to give it the restoration it need yet but I keep it inside now and am able to keep it in road trip ready condition. I just got back from a Christmas trip it would have gone on if the heater was currently installed...

I still haven't got around to putting the rear sway bar on. I imagine it'll make it even better.

I told my wife that I either had to start working on the car, or sale it, and I certanly didn't want to sale it. I started taking it apart in '07-'08, so I know about finding time to work on it!
When it comes to the rear sway bar, mine wouldn't fit with the exhaust. I have a TTI system, and there's no adjusting the way it fits and if I remember right, the fuel tank was either real close or touching it before I installed the exhaust. The frame mount for the rear sway bar needed to move the bar about an inch forward. It wasn't a big deal.
I just checked my receipt and they came from PST on 11/30/15. They were $199 each, shipping included. I just looked up Firm feel and PST bars. They were basically the same in '15, now Firm Feel has a nicer rear sway bar, it's better fitted to the car. The fronts look the same as what I have. Both of Firm Feel bars are 1/8" larger now, but they're also $709 more than the cost of the PST bars. I've added sway bars to other cars and the rear bars make a difference.

I had Firm Feel redo the steering box on my 57 Plymouth. Made a big difference. I would also recommend them.
I purchased a new steering box and had to make some changes for it to fit correctly. Had it all done and when I went to complete the hose routing, I was unable to come up with the fitting to attach the return hose. I needed the power steering to be finished, so I installed my original. I didn't have any problems with it, I just wanted to update it. If I don't get the return hose fitting issue figured out, I will be having Firm Feel do their rebuild/update to my original. Lots of great reviews!
I really like your Fury! If interested, this is my build on here. It's so close, but yet so far from being finished...........
