Here's a few pictures of the first Lowe's Cruise of the Season. The 1955 New Yorker was the star of the show so there is a lot of pictures of that car.

Nice Bob.....that show always draws a lot of cars and nice cars. The NYB is looking great with the wheels. All the reason why they say the shoes make the man

Nice pics Bob. Very nice show, that New Yorker is a real cream puff and that Cherokee must have made a little noise when it rolled in!

Thanks Guys! The NYB is coming along a little at a time.

That Cherokee is a monster! You could hear it 2 blocks away.

That 1955 NY'er has a 331 Hemi. It was a California car owned by the original owner until 2004. Some museum in Canada bought in 2004 and it was sold to the current owner last November. He has other 50's Mopar too. One of which is a convertible. He said he's going to bring the vert to Carlisle this year. The under hood, interior and door jam paint is original. The exterior had a repaint 9 years ago. The car color is Desert Sand which was only available in 2 tones cars. Even the interior is painted in 2 tone. What a beautiful NY'er!!!

How did that Unimog find his way over the sea, didn't expect to find something like this at the show.
The New Yorker would have been my first pick as well.

Unimog's are all over the U.S. A few U.S. Army transportation Battalion's had them as a test. When no longer used they are auctioned off through U.S. gov auctions. Aberdeen Proving Ground had a bunch of them....not used anymore.

BTW, turn out was a little light on opening night. It was only 65 degrees. I only stayed an hour or so, I wasn't feeling too good. I would estimate only 100 cars on average. That's whats cool about the Lowe's cruise...constant rotation of cars coming and going.

Thanks for sharing the pics Bob! That jeep looks FUN! Need to get out to a cruise myself soon. The local ones down here blow!!

thanks for the pics Bob.
We had the first shows, too but with only 40 degrees. Damin cold
