For Sale Forward Look Priced Too Low - Nice

what I wanted to say to snotty was if you think this car is priced to high you're off your rocker!
Why? It's a 361, bench seat, roll-up windows. About the only thing it has is the AC and auto trans. It's a Windsor, not a New Yorker. It's a nice car, but I wouldn't buy it over any other car that's as equally nice. Now, if my heart and passion were on a '60 Windsor, perhaps. If this were a ragtop, I'd be drooling. But to me, it's nothing special. I'm glad you, and others like it, but why would I be off my rocker?

Ok let's say this was a New Yorker with all the right options you speak of and it's in the condition that we all hope this one is in, how much do you think you'd have to pay for it?

You just made my wallet pucker...

How much would a '70 E Body got for in the same condition? But, we're not talking about a New Yorker or an E Body. It's a Windsor, 1960's version of a '62 and up Newport. Base car with a couple of options.

Undoubtably you are not well versed in Forward look cars.
The 361 was a great engine, Body trim level is not that important, No one has mentioned the rare deck lid "spare tire", A/C is very rare on these cars. All tint glass, radio and heater are all options. There just are not many of these around any more that haven't been molested.
It's a bargain and a great entry level Forward Look car.

You didn't answer my question.

Fins, forward look and not obviously rotted from the door handles down (although we do not know that for sure). I think that kind of sums it up

It looks like it has sold:

1960 Chrysler Windsor 2-Dr. Hardtop With Factory AC

Someone got a nice car at a good price.

Thanks, whew... I'm glad that's over... it was unimaginably difficult not to show serious interest in one within my credit limit... and you folks never did find enough flaws to make it easier.

Because of the value this car had to you.

I saw this late, but that was a nice car. If I were not previously commited, I would have bought it on the spot. it is all about the memories the particular car bring back. if a person in his 60"s(me) Had a fondness for that memory, then money is secondary.
Coincidently my very first car at 16 was a Beautiful 1960 Desoto Fireflite two door hardtop. my God father arranged for me to buy it for the total cost of $75.00.(this was October 1968)
I still have the bill of sale, and Title to that car to this day. Someday I will wise up and sell one of the others so the next time one of these come by I won't be on the sidelines. Mine was a 383, but the Desoto's came with the 361. Mine was slime green, and I was called batman with the Batmobile because of the finned Batmobile was the popular show on TV at the time.
The problem was the Cops always knew who they were chasing, as the car was deceptively fast.
I really should be dead now. I had so many tickets the USAF recruiter delayed my entry three days just to be sure I wasn't wanted somewhere.
Someday Another will show up. Sorry for the long story! my next toy for the next five years was a UH-1F and N model Huey, then the RF-4 Phantom.

A very cool car at what seems like a decent price - assuming nothing was lurking under the fresh paint. All '59 and '60 Windsors and Saratogas were 383RB as mentioned above.

Very well. We obviously have two different opinions. This car is beautiful and the '60 Chrysler is probably my all-time favorite. I wanted a '60 when I bought my '62. But if this car were a '70 Newport, in the same condition and configuration, and the same price was being asked there would be people on this sight calling the seller an ***. After all, a Newport is the entry level Chrysler.

Obviously I think the same about this one. It's sweet, but it's still a base car. If it were a New Yorker I'd think it too low, and even moreso if it were a 300F. As I said earlier, if it were a ragtop I'd be drooling! But this car, to me, has as much appeal as a 4-door Dart. Doesn't make me off my rocker, just means you and I, and others obviously, have different tastes.

When it comes to finned cars, saying: I don't like it because it isn't the fancy model or not enough options is like saying" Gee that gorgeous 1968 318 charger just isn't that R/T so it has the value of a four door to me".That won't happen. Mint originals are just that, and unreplaceable. Then add it being in the 57-60 group of finned cars?
The market still loves these cars. Even chevy guys buy these cars.(God forbid)
