My sister found this old photograph. This a super special treat for me because I never had a picture of my first new car, a 1967 Dodge Dart GT upgraded with the factory D-Dart 273/275 package which I ran in D/SA.
In the background is my first car, a 1962 Rambler Classic wagon.
I'm happier than a pig in a slop pile.

I believe this was taken in 1968 because in 1969 I added hood scoops.

I can just hear the comments you would make to someone who does this now....

That really is cool. How long did you have it? What happened to it?
Bought it new off the lot in the summer of '67.
In 1970, my father used it as a trade-in towards his 70 Polara and I got his 67 Newport Fast Top.
The Dart was pretty tired by then. The Newport was like new.
Of course...

A rotary clothes line attached to the second floor porch. Don't remember those, eh young'n?

Oh no, I remember those well and of course the T shaped poles across the yard from each other with the lines running between. It looks to be more up there than that though.

It was on a swingarm so you could swing it in towards the porch to hang the laundry and then push it back out to let them dry.

JeezezMurphy HowTF did I remember that.
Still see these on some of the three decka's in Worcester. Great photo, location?

Very cool.

I'm curious about the D Dart package. What did it include? Cost? What times did you run?

That's awesome Stan! All available side moldings! Did it have a trunk panel also?

Those are shackles which we do on our first cars when we are young and stupid to clear tires. Ought to know as I did the exact same thing on my car yet came to my senses four years later and got them outta there.
