Friday Morning FCBO Entertainment...

I was always as good as the guy I was playing...... not that I won every game.... who does? I always held my own.....and I was in a lot of pool halls

I tend to play to the level of competition, that's why I always appreciated playing with someone I could learn from or made me up my game.

Still have to know how to shoot your balls. :laughing4:

I played 8 ball fanatically in college and I was the worst of the worst.
Regretted that all my years.
I would kill to be able to afford a teaching pro now.
Yah. Bucket list, non-automotive, top at.

The best teacher is at your local pool room in the form of a pool table and a cue. Go drop a lot of cash on a daily basis and in a few years you'll be good too

Nonsense. Read a book. Same as the real thing. It's true. I read it somewhere...:)

:bs_flag: ....A book will never teach you how to shoot pool better than practice. In fact hands on experience will teach you better than a book in most anything.

HAha. Well out in the real world it is a combo of both for success. Reading can certainly be a shortcut in many things.....especially when there is no one available or willing to show you how to do something. Maybe not in your case, but certainly in mine. Several years ago I got a cute little quote (you might like) in a Chinese cookie. "When a man with experience meets a man without, the man without becomes the man with the experience."

go grab a stick and practice willya
