Very interesting his Martin acoustic guitar sold for much more than estimate od 3000 bucks. Not a surprise to me as he was really an acoustic player in the beginning .

Martin D-19 acoustic guitar for $43,750 against its original estimate of $2,000-$3,000;

That is still peanuts for a musical instrument of such history and calibre. That is if it was in good condition and sounded well. If it was his favorite or not will never be known most likely.
