Regarding: 1966 Dodge Polara Convertible.

The trim/molding on the passenger window/glass is not secured to the glass and slides down.
What is this piece of trims official name ?
How is it secured; rubber gasket, adhesive, pinched ?

Getting ready to start the process of re-aligning the glass and replacing the rubber components on the convertible top, glass, doors.

thanks in advance.

I could give some questionable advice but I’ll refrain to avoid the red X. Following, since I have the same issue.

They make a type of fabric that looks like a combo of fiber and rubber that looks like tape but it is not. It wraps around the edge of the glass then the trim installs over it. I had to do it on my rear driver side window. If you take the glass out and take it to a glass shop they can reinstall that trim to the glass. I did mine myself but it was a little unnerving because you have to tap the trim on the window with a rubber mallet. BTW this has to be done with the glass out of the car.

You can just glue it back on. Try E-6000 glue or 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Just clean it with alcohol or something like that first. IIRC, I used 3M weatherstrip adhesive on mine.

The tapes would work, but I doubt if you'll have enough space.
