The fuel gauge in my 68 fury is usually on E but sometimes around corners will jump to 1/4 or more and slowly goes back to E. What do you guys think is haywire. Thanx Frank

I had the same problem on my 67 Newport. I replaced the sending unit and had the instrument panel redone. The fuel guage ended up being fine but I'm glad I took out the instrument panel because the ammeter was at risk of catching fire. The fuel gauge in my 68 fury is usually on E but sometimes around corners will jump to 1/4 or more and slowly goes back to E.
