Fun With An Inferred Thermometer

I've done this before but after burning my finger through my glove I decided to do it again. I picked up a load of barrels of different colors and material, so I did a comparison between white plastic, blue steel and black steel. Big difference. I also included a reading of the dashboard of my truck. Kinda scary.
Ambient temperature is about 110 degrees.
