gas cap vented or not, 76 NYB

Are gas caps vented on 1976 - 1978 Formals?
When I open the gas cap on my 76 to gas up, a suction sound is heard, and no problems exist that I can determine.

It should be non-vented.

Should nonvented because the gas tank is already being vented with various lines in the front of it
