That's right Livininharrow Canada, I wanted to keep them inside. I have all the original guts and gauges in case a grand child or great grand child wants to return it to original, but for me I like easy to read. Once I positioned the round gauges into the bezel, laying face down on a work bench, I filled around them with black silicone. Took a week to completely harden as it was pretty thick. But now they are shock proof. Ha Ha.

I have a carpet across one of my dashes too. One of these days I'm going to pull the whole thing apart and have the vinyl dash pad redone. Too many projects right now. Dash has to wait.
