Glut of Unsold Cars Pushes Fiat Chrysler Into Bargain Mode

Pro's and Con's for both cars.

The biggest problem with Hellcats and Scat Packs is that you need the Widebody to put wheels bigger than 9.5" wide. Even though I have the Hellcat rear end and Demon 41 spline axles....can't put anything bigger than the 9.5 " wheels and really can't put anything bigger than 275 tires safely on a Scat Pack or a Hellcat without a Widebody. The 11 x 20's wheels are needed badly on those cars. My Charger is an R/T Scat Pack Plus so I get all of the Hellcat stuff plus the 9.5" wheels with the 275 tires and the 6 piston Brembo's and the big rotors. The regular Scat Packs only get the 9" wheels with 245 tires. And the 4 piston Brembo's and the smaller rotors.

I'll never be a full time or regular participant on the 1/4 mile but I want to be able to make serious passes on the 1/4 mile once or twice a year. With a few mods, slicks, and a custom tune....I could get into the high 10's with my Scat Pack.....or that stock Hellcat I mentioned. Lol
So now you want another new car so you can put bigger tires on in back...

Adding a car with 797 hp might be an incentive to get another car.

A car with 707 hp would work in a pinch.

I cannot for the life of me see myself in a 600hp car.
90% of my driving consists of going a quarter of a mile behind three loaded tractors, three abreast, before hitting the next red light.
The remaining 10% consists of maybe going 9 mph above the speed limit for about 3 minutes at best before hitting three cars abreast going 2 mph under the speed limit.
A fukkin 13,000 dollar Nissan Versa would be overkill.

But it would be a great stress reliever once you leave the office.
4 secs at WOT.
Ahhhhh!

A Scat Pack is 485 HP.....

I still manage to find some straight open road in the mid-Atlantic area from time to time with no traffic. Plus I have several race tracks close by.

We have some freeway entrance ramps around here that provide a little entertainment.

Seriously, my average speed for the YEAR probably is around 17.9mph. If that's gonna be the case, I want to be surrounded by a 100 speaker 2,000 watt entertainment center with my *** in A/C cooled 47-way leather seat.
My need for speed has been stripped of me by traffic.
Yeah, there's always Utah, but the time you end up there, you're thinking Minivans.
Oh the humanity....

My average mileage has degraded to a miserable 105 miles/month (12 month average) and that is going to the grocery store or visiting a doc to get pills renewed. This coming summer I'll be out in the Fury everyday that it doesn't rain!!

I only put on about 5000 miles with everyday driving, and aim for 2000 in the old cars, I got close to that with only about a month of total drive time, which gives me hope to rack up even more miles this coming year.

Mileage:
'98 2500 5.9 gas 4x4 10
'12 Charger SXT 23
'66 Polara 440/727 3.55 13.6
'68 Monaco 500 383/727 3.23 12.6

The Charger is the most comfortable and economical, but the old rides are more fun, so the cost of fuel doesn't bother me.

I thought my 16 R/T was great but rode a bit stiff.
I don’t think it had 1 inch of suspension travel. Or awd.

80 mph on I-77 last month with the BMW was a blast!

Geeze, I'm over 6000 miles since May on the Durango, and another 5000 miles on the Challenger. I have no idea where I put them on.

Geeze, my 2006 Jeep over the last 13 years has managed a grand total of 54600 miles (avg 4200/year)
