the Dodge is located in germany.
Seller lives in Neu-Ulm according to the ad. (southern germany)

It seems like it was just purchased in italy (if the previous owner had it for 58 years) and is now being flipped.

Usually a pretty Italy is a dry area so there is a good chance engine is not seized.

That car is awesome. I've never really had an appriceation for a hearse of any model. But this is unlike any other...Pretty damn cool

There is probably nothing "production" behind the front clip on this car. All else is modified and fabricated by a custom coach builder.
The coach builder is not mentioned.

I resemble that...

BTW, pics for posterity...

The single wheel cover in the picture above is a Lancer spinner! Long ago, I had a set of these on a '55 Ford convertible.

My am fully aware that this (amazing) car has had major surgery to transform it, to it's current form, and my comment was just to air my 4-Door suspicion, which was based on the tail lights, and the narrow doors, which pretty much excludes both coupes, verts, and the Sierra.. (and in my universe, the most obvious base, would have been a Sierra) ;-)

If I was "Jay Leno-rich", it would be on it's way to Denmark already, but as I am not, it would need to serve SOME sort of purpose if I was to buy! It would be a shame to alter it (again), and as I don't know that many dead people, I can't justify to buy!

But I am in love nevertheless !!

In Italy they used what they had avaible. Very few wagons were ever imported when new. Old american cars in the mid sixties were plentriful and cheap, so a lot of them were used as a hearse. I had a 58 Impala and a 57 Bel Air modified as a hearse, and have seen many Cadillac and Chevys. Near Venice (Venezia) there is a beautiful gold 65 Polara with a 383 that once was a 4 door hardtop, and it's still being used as a hearse.

I love hearses, particularly the type found in Argentina and Uruguay, featuring intricate wood carving.

It's a flower car. Here's the back of it, and two actual coffin carrier hearses.
