Going to look at a 73 Newport 2 dr. Navaho tomorrow.

I never had a c body car with the mind of selling later.

I've never had or looked at a car that I didn't have eventually / potentially selling and resale potential in the back of mind mind .. hmm that may be part of the problem.

The only exception is my 70 RR which I advertised and almost sold years ago .. glad I didn't

Bob noticed what I noticed, the fact that it still retains its original road wheels is amazing and a testament to it being original, take as many bills as t takes to bring her home

Thanks Dave!

I never bought anything with the mindset of selling it later

I'm not selling any of my cars anymore.

This is a rare car and needs to be saved and restored. It would look "badass" with a new white vinyl top and fresh K5 Navajo Copper Poly paint.

I believe the road wheels were added after the fact. Could be wrong, but remember this is one of Chrysler's Spring Special cars with only certain body colors, the white vinyl roof, the special fabric seat inserts, the shag carpet and the special full wheel covers just like my Polara has in it's version.

I also notice the rear window trim is out not that it needs to be out when you tear off the vinyl roof. Will make it easy to see what the lower channel looks like.

I was sent several pics last night.
I'm not holding my breath. I'll probably return home with all my cash intact. We'll see. Better pics later....

Starting to loose some enthusiasm after seeing these first couple of pics.......guess we'll see what the rest look like.

I looked at the window sticker in expanded view....this car came with the W23 road wheels from the factory.

This Navajo Edition Spring Special is so cool that if I had found this one at the same time I found my NYB.....this would of been the car I would have today...even with whatever condition Stan finds it in today.

I get leary when I start seeing hint's of repetitive moisture build up in the interior. That's not a good thing....but for 2K I guess you still can't go wrong...maybe.

I don't think that interior is too bad. If it had a massive moisture problem I believe the white interior/seats would be covered with black mold. The stink would be overpowering when you opened the door.

Look closely at the gear selector & turn signal stalks for example. Is that rust?

Mine are the same way. From the humidity in York, Pa. My NYB sat outside for 30 years without running or being open. The steering wheel was cracked in 80 places and the door panels and leather seats are dried up and cracked, etc.

It looks like a rust crack/line on the inside of the front fender, by the hinges.

Yeah but this is a florida car....high heat and high humidity....all year round. The moisture/heat build up not only destroy interior surfaces, but degrades electronics, connectors and insulation inside the dashboard.....and no doubt your right, it probably smells like cat piss inside from just looking at the shape of the rug. Rust forming on the inside is a baaaad omen. Yech....but again for 2K I guess you shouldn't expect much.

Well I'm optimistic.........we'll have to wait for Stan's report and pictures.

Well, the only thing saving this car from getting towed to Jim's Auto Salvage is that my friend Lance offered him $800 and unless someone comes along with a couple of dollars more, he's going to sell it to him. Anybody want it? I can make all the arrangements.
