I've got a 73 Fury I with a cracked windshield and finding a replacement is proving to be $$$. My only glass shop tells me $650 + 150 shipping IF he can find one. Gotta be a better option???
TIA
I may be anal, but I have one in storage that I pulled off a parts car for my NYB if and when that day comes. Thanks guys,
Yea, my glass shop has been around a while (35 yrs or so) but not long enough it seems. He is my step bro. so he did get it for me at cost but he didn't look the right places it seems. Got it done, but $700+???? I saw the receipt for the glass and cost was ~540 and shipping was $183.
Glad to know they are still around and available as this car is a driver. Hopfully I don't need another though.
Car is done!
Merry Christmas!
You're 100% correct. You'll be doing the same thing after your retired.Stan, you have too much time on your hands searching for the photos you come up with

Never noticed the date on the thread. Oh well.

If you have a sedan and not a hardtop, then that glass is rare and expensive (and is the same rare glass used in the Town & Country models). If you have a pillarless model, or hardtop, then the glass is cheap, readily available for around $200 installed. No one that I am aware of reproduces the sedan version, hence limited supply and demand driving the price up.
