Got new exhaust with Dynomax Super Turbos

Timely topic.

I'm surprised you even HAD Flowmaster 40's on your car, let alone how long you had them.

Hey guys, it's been a while. Got a new exhaust from local custom shop for my '68. It has 20-inch Dynomax super turbos and an H pipe. It's really quiet, especially when you consider how high the flow supposedly is on these mufflers. More of a blum-blum-blum mellow sound now than the blat-blat-blat it had before with glasspacks. The family next door to me has a baby and I felt awful every time I started the car in my garage with the old system. Our houses are so close together it was like someone pounding on their door. Plus the old system had a lot of pipe segments in poor condition, with little leaks that made that hollow clicking sound and let exhaust into the cabin.

Also, I tried to go fill up with 100LL avgas, which was recommended on the forums as a good ethanol-free option in the absence of E-free service stations (the closest one to Austin seems to be in Fredericksburg 1.5-2 hrs away). I went to a small general aviation airport nearby because they said they'd sell it to anyone. BUT... then they said only winged craft could pull up to the pumps, otherwise you have to put it into an approved container and put it in the car off-premises. It turns out putting pieces of scrap cardboard to create wings on the sides of the car does not suffice. Ask me how I know.
its nice to see that u are concerned about your neighbours. u are a nice guy. i hope they realize that.
