Chrysler: 300 Series HEMI - Charger - Barracuda - Challenger

1979 Chrysler 300 Series HEMI
BRAND NEW - Car Never Registered - 200 original miles - Never Titled Hemi
Crate 472 Fuel Injected Hemi

This car started as life at a car dealership on North Dakota. It was sold as new around 2000, sent to a shop and had the original 360 drive train pulled and a 472 fuel injected Hemi and race prepared automatic transmission. The 360 with 0 miles on it is included. The car has not run for years, still smells new on the inside. When it did run everything worked. Cruise control, AC, 8 Track, all like new. The MSO was lost, never titled. This car still has the original window sticker on it.
This car has been stored out doors for years. Has not been run for years but drove to where it is parked back in 2009.
In NY you can go to DMV register the car with just a bill of sale and have a conditional title that is restricted where as you can't sell the car for two years. i imagine most states are the same.
Two new engines, brand new car with the window sticker..Sold as is where is.. Call 914 667 7777 with any questions

Looks like another title hassle. . .

108 kerley corners rd tivoli NY - he had a 0 ebay rating, so i dug a little bit..

it looks like 1 or both of those cars has moved, based off the satellite view.

Is the same genius who swapped the engine on a zero miles car; the same genius who swaps a hemi into a car with title problems; is the same genius who parks it outside for almost a decade?

At least it adds up from the consistently stupid angle.

Well I can't say I hate it but I am trying to decode the reasons why. Why does a car built in '79 sit for 2 decades not going anywhere then some asshat decides to put a 472 crate motor in it to do what? Make it more desirable ...to who? To top it off slap the lean burn air cleaner back on it. I wish him all the luck in the world and at over 29 bids and $9500 US he has already lucked out IMHO. Yes the 472 is worth all that and maybe more but in a car with those credentials put the 360 back in and quite screwing around.

That engine is worth a bunch. The car,,,,,,not so much.

In '09 I sent this survivor (but not perfect) example to Finland for $7500.

Bah! Love the 300s (they drive great with all the HP/HD stuff) but I HATE red interiors! That's why I finally decided to let her go.

Funny thing about this car... It was ordered just like a 300. HD suspension, etc. Note the manual seat on an otherwise loaded car? E-58 360. Girlfriend and I drove this car back from LA to Detroit. I fell asleep around St. Louis and didn't wake up until she had driven into Arkansas! I suppose that says something about her ability to follow a map, or how comfortable it was.

If I had the room, I never would have sold this one. I did leave a note with my contact info in the glove box, maybe one day she will return to me? (Car, not ex-girlfriend)

I bought a 77 Lotus Elite 2 years ago that was never registered. But it came with the MSO. It was always driven on dealer plates it's entire life. Without it on this car, all your buying is the engine. That piece of paper he says he has, is only good for one thing, and you'd better crinkle it to make it soft enough.
I don't believe a word of this crap. "In NY you can go to DMV register the car with just a bill of sale and have a conditional title that is restricted where as you can't sell the car for two years. i imagine most states are the same."
Everybody and his brother would be running around with fake bills of sale and stealing cars.

All 79 300's were manual seat only. Because they came with dual exhaust with catalytic converters, there wasn't room to mount power seat hardware. body had to make allowance for the converters underneath body where ps hardware would have been.

My take, I wonder if the ink is dry yet on the "sticker"

Looking over the pictures of this car a little closer it is in worse condition than I previously thought. The drivers side front turn signall cover is missing which was a known problem with the 78-79 cars. It was glued in with a cheap adhesive which dried out then the cover would fall out usually at speed. Lots of discoloration and layers of dirt accumulated in many areas. I am having a hard time believing this is a 200 mile survivor which sat for 21 years. Only a close inspection will tell.

The more I think about this car the more it pisses me off. It was never registered because there is no TITLE! The poor sap that went through all that trouble of fitting that Hemi in there, just wasted his time and money. I hope whoever buys it for the engine, puts it up for parts. I can use the seats, and a couple other trinkets.

Agreed. Stored outside since 09? Thats 7 years of crappy weather beating it up. I spotted the mising cornering light too, not to mention the mildew everywhere. Thank God the smell of Corinthian leather over powers the smell of rat **** and mold.
